Great place to stay nice sheltered campsites beautiful beaches and fishing
What a beautiful part of the world. Take the time to hop your way up or down the coast. Stop at as many beaches and inlets as you can, they are all so different and beautiful.
We visited mainly Nelson Beach. This national park is absolutely fantastic, nature and wildlife everywhere. The access to the beaches and spots like Nelson beach is usually done through 2-4 km of gravel roads. Feasible with any car but much easier with a 4WD or a Ute. Nelson beach lagoon is stunning, good for swimming (enjoy the current which is fun and not dangerous). Swimming in the ocean might be dangerous... check the conditions.
Such a great camping spot. There are quite a few spots. Sign at the entrance say not suitable for caravan but we were able to take our Jayco dove and expanda caravans with no issues. Make sure not to turn into first two camoing spots if you do take caravans as they are pretty tight spots.
